Memorials are an important part of any culture because they help assure that generations remember the contributions of the past.  Elan Planning, Design & Landscape Architecture has created and restored several memorials that have been components of larger land planning initiatives; many of these memorials sites were specifically designed for the commemoration of war veterans.  

Our technical knowledge is balanced with our ability to work with a site’s natural features.  We also incorporate the area's culture, ecology and history, as well as the vernacular of the region into our designs to create a place of honor. Memorials and cemeteries stand as a symbol of respect for the departed and a haven for visitors to pay their respect.

Elan is honored to have worked with several war and military veterans associations to achieve their goal of creating a place of tribute to acknowledge the sacrifice these men and women have made for our country.  Through our designs, Elan hopes to influence each visitor's personal interpretation and reflection of their experience.
