Community Planning

Community & Regional Planning has been utilized by civilizations throughout time to build communities of lasting value. A planner fosters visions for the community's future, helps identify issues, and presents options for community betterment. The role of the planner is to assist in developing communities that are safe and offer residents more choices of where and how to work, live, and have fun.

Elan Planning, Design & Landscape Architecture is skilled at consensus building and vision development to assist communities with the articulation of their goals. We believe community and regional planning must reflect the desires and goals of that particular community in a purposeful way, and the involvement of the community in this planning process is a viable way to get results.  We strive for authenticity of a place as the framework for community enhancements.

As the process of community planning evolves, Elan continues to work with communities to create a clear vision, a mission statement, and a plan of action. It's through this process that Elan has successfully completed comprehensive plans that promote a sense of place while preserving the natural and cultural resources of the setting.
